In this world, we face many troubles everyday. We make many plans to
come out of problems and strive to win in life, but in vain. We finally end up in
depression and discouragement. Pro 23:7 says, "As a man thinks in his heart, so
is he." It means, whatever a man keeps thinking about, he acts, behaves and speaks
accordingly. The heart is where innumerable thoughts are generated. Our thinking
is most of the time influenced by the words which people speak, the way they act
or behave. What we see or hear - the troubles, the negative situations and circumstances
haunt us day and night. Since the heart is constantly under attack, we are paralyzed
and though we want to move ahead we are bound by the things that influence our heart.
So it is very important to break the influences that act upon the heart. Jesus Christ
is anointed to break this yoke of influence.
The Bible says in Psalm 107:20, that He sent His word and delivered you from all
your destruction. God knows every situation that you are going through and He faithfully
sends His Word. Upon that Word lies the anointing that can overpower anything.
Pro 4:13 says "Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go;
keep her, for she is your life." It implies that instruction is your life. Now instruction
is nothing but the sequence of steps that you follow to do a task. For example there
are 10 steps in a given work. As you begin to follow each step, the Lord begins
to teach you by which you can recognize something. The Lord enlightens certain things
(for eg: what to see, to watch, to observe, to take things into consideration or
not) which in turn sharpens you to recognize the same in any work. However, as you
start performing the task step by step, certain disturbances like phone calls, interesting
TV. programs, songs of nostalgia, words etc., come across your path and you get
immersed into them and work with the given task under this doping. The result of
your work might be anything but doping has updated itself through which Satan has
a hold in the way you think.
Now if you look at Peter, he toiled all through the night to catch fish, but he
couldn't. The next morning, Jesus steps in to Peter's boat and gives him a simple
instruction , Luke 5:4 "Launch out into the deep and let down your NETS (more than
one) for a catch." Peter was doped enough by his troubles he could not recognize
what Jesus spoke about the NETS and recognized only NET. So Peter thought "all through
the night I tried and caught nothing, but nevertheless at Your word, I will let
down the NET ," and cast his NET (instead of NETS) for a catch. So as he launched
into the deep and cast his NET, the fish came plunging into the NET and the NET
began to break. So he lost everything in the catch. It's a catch of such a business
that sets him debt free and the heaviness on him will be rolled away.
God wants to do a miracle and bring you out of all your troubles and set
you free. But you are influenced more by your troubles than the Word of God. The
Bible says in John 6:63 " It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you are spirit ( influence), and they are life." The Holy
Spirit brings the Word and gives it to you. Every Word which God sends may or may
not be connected with your problems, but it is a perfect influence that leads you
to life. You must get the Word either from anointed man / woman of God or from God
directly and allow its influence to come upon you. You must allow all your "self"
to think over it, allow its leadership in your speech, behavior, friendships, way
of thinking etc., so that the biggest influence upon you would be to bring the Word
to pass that day. As you allow this influence every week, you will be habituated
in following His Word and it will help you on the day when God gives His Word for
your blessing to freedom.
So, meditate the Word which God gave you and make plans to keep yourself under
its influence. The Word of God is the instruction for life and your duty is to take
firm hold of it so that you are set free.
