In the year 1996, Mr. Isaiah was diagnosed with Diabetes. He was prescribed dietary and life-style modifications along with exercise and regular medication to keep the condition under control. Believing that diabetes is a disease that one had to endure for life, he decided to follow the advice of the doctors. Diabetes was soon under control and he meticulously followed all the prescribed regulations. He felt that as diabetes can't be cured, he must follow the diet and exercise regime to keep up good health.

            In the year 2002 he was introduced to the church. As he says, "Until 2002, I was carrying the Diabetis with me and once the Pastor asked me "why do you keep Diabetes with you ?". It was the question that shook his outlook towards diabetes. He replied saying that it is not an ornament he wishes to keep. The Pastor responded by saying, "then kick it away from you". He was stunned to hear that and he slowly understood that he needs to believe and behave.

 

            That very moment he prayed a simple prayer saying, "God I believe that By Your stripes I am healed" and now I am no more diabetic, I declare and proclaim in faith." It was Sept 2002 and he started to behave as he believed. He began to increase his faith by taking the Word of God. As he believed he was not a diabetic anymore, he slowly began to avoid the tablet in his coffee. As days went by, he started taking small quantities of restricted food. Little by little, he started including fruits, cakes, ice-creams, sweets, juices etc in his diet. As he observed that the symptoms of diabetes were subsiding, he stopped taking the medicines. The strength from the Word set him free from diabetes.

 

             It has been almost seven years and he is enjoying a hale and healthy life, relishing the food God created. Never again did he experience any symptoms of diabetes. He is strongly influenced by Centurion's words to Jesus Christ, "Lord give me one Word and my servant would get up". It is belief in the Word that delivered him from diabetes and has blessed him to lead a healthy life.
